EEMI Director for Climate Change Dr. Rachael Jonassen authored a Chapter on Emission Trading Systems in a guidebook entitled “Carbon Pricing and Fossil Fuel Subsidy Rationalization Tool Kit” published by the Asian Development Bank in July 2023.

Environmental and Energy Management Institute Conducts Supply Chain Seminar with CEO of Europe’s Second-largest Port

EEMI Awarded Grant by UN Climate Technology Center

In November 2023 the SEAS-hosted GW Environmental and Energy Management Institute (EEMI) was awarded a grant, in partnership with the Korean National Institute of Green Technology (NIGT), to undertake a project involving the development of a national digitalization readiness index to strengthen the capacities of developing countries to address technological challenges and opportunities for climate change adaptation and mitigation.

Professor Scott Sklar, Director of Sustainable Energy in the GW Engineering-hosted GW Environmental and Energy Management Institute (EEMI), is serving as the General Chairman of the 2024 Annual Conference of the American Solar Energy Society, founded in 1956. This major event, entitled “ASES National Solar Conference, SOLAR 2024: Connecting Technology & Policy” will be held at GW on May 20-23, 2024.
