Dr. George William (Jerry) Sherk
Dr. George William (Jerry) Sherk received his D.Sc. degree in Spring 2002, from the Environmental and Energy Management Program. Prior to coming to GW, Jerry was a Visiting Associate Professor of Natural Resources and Environmental Law at Georgia State University (1994-1996). Prior to that, Jerry had a private law practice and, from 1984-1990 was a trial attorney with the Environment and Natural Resources Division, U.S. Department of Justice. He also has served as a special assistant in the Office of the Secretary of the Interior (1982-1983) and as an attorney with the National Conference of State Legislatures (1980-1982). Jerry received his law degree from the University of Denver after completing undergraduate and graduate studies at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.
