Stephen T. Fields, EMSE doctoral student, presented a poster presentation on November 21, 2008 at Sigma Xi's annual conference in Washington D.C. The poster, entitled "A Decision Support Model for Management of Leaking Underground Storage Tanks," describes his research, which used statistical theory to identify preferred technologies for use by state environmental managers when remediating leaking underground storage tank sites.
Steve was presented with a Certificate of Recognition for his presentation. Steve is a member of the George Washington University chapter of Sigma Xi. Founded in 1886, Sigma Xi is the international honor society for research scientists and engineers, with more than 500 chapters in North America and around the world.
