The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) recently awarded scholarships to EEM graduate students Amna Maqsood and Athbi Alfarhan.

Amna is pursuing her Master of Science degree in systems engineering and GW with a minor in sustainability and data analytics for decision-making. While at GW, Amna is working at the GW School of Business as a Technical Support Assistant and also serving at the Eden Wald Senior Living establishment as a dining department host.
Athbi obtained his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering and a minor in Energy Business and Finance in the Fall of 2023 from the Pennsylvania State University. Athbi is presently working on his Master of Science in Systems Engineering at GW. He has past professional experience as an Engineering Intern with PECO Exelon and holds certifications as an Engineer in Training and LEED Green Associate.

Since its inception, AEE has been committed to supporting the energy community through education, professional certification, and the promotion of high standards in energy management and related fields.

It is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving members and other industry professionals who are working to improve energy efficiency to save energy, reduce GHGs, make buildings perform better, and help reach global goals for Net-Zero.
