Dr. Irmak Renda Tanali


Dr. Irmak Renda Tanali is a Research Associate at the Institute for Crisis, Disaster and Risk Management of the George Washington University. She received her Doctor of Science degree in Crisis and Emergency Management from the Department of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering at GW in 2003. Her research works include modeling the impacts of natural and man-made disasters, modeling of costs of mitigation actions and response operations, and analyses and reports on organizational capabilities. Irmak holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering, M.S. in Engineering Economy and an M.B.A. in Financial Management. Formerly she was the director of a privately owned engineering design and consulting company.
