Jean-Marc Gorelick is serving as a Crisis, Stabilization, and Governance Foreign Service Officer in the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Dakar, Senegal. Before joining USAID in 2009, Jean-Marc worked on democracy and governance projects in Africa for Development Alternatives Inc, and the International Republican Institute, respectively. Jean-Marc served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Togo, focusing on civic education projects. He holds an M.A. in International Development Studies, with a Political Science concentration, from the Elliot School of International Affairs at George Washington University. He has also authored several articles on DG in Africa matters in the Christian Science Monitor.
