Over the past semester, the directors of the various environmental programs at GW worked together, under the leadership of the Office of the Associate Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, to improve mechanisms for working across disciplinarily lines. The wide variety of environmental programs that exist at GW, combined with the extraordinarily robust set of environmental research and educational programs and interactions with the corporate and governmental sectors that are underway, makes inter-program coordination and collaboration essentail.
