E&EM program graduates were prominent among the 486 graduates of the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the 2006 Graduation Celebration on May 20, 2006. With a full complement of parents, siblings, spouses, children, and other relatives and friends present to honor their accomplishments, a number of E&EM graduates walked across the stage at the Smith Center to receive their diplomas and congratulations from Dean Tong and the SEAS faculty.

The ceremony included the presentation of 28 student awards to recognize various forms of student achievement, the Engineer Alumni Achievement Award, keynote speaker Dr. David Karlgaard and the recognition of each graduate.
After the ceremony, graduates, their guests, and SEAS faculty, staff, and alumni, gathered at the Marvin Center for a post-Celebration reception.
