E&EM Master’s student Saleem Shaikh was selected to serve as an Intern with the Environment Statistics Section of the United Nations Statistics Division from February to May 2009. During his internship, Saleem will work on the development of environmental statistics and indicators for the United Nations. His immediate specific projects will involve assistance in the assessment and development of methodologies for the set of environmental indicators for the African region. In addition Saleem will assist in the development of a set of climate change impact indicators particular related to agricultural, forestry and land use statistics.
