EEM Faculty and Student Participate in Department of Energy Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Event

EEM doctoral student Mohammed Qaradaghi and Dr. Elvin Yuzugullu, EEM Professorial Lecturer, attended the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell and Vehicle Technology 2012 Annual Merit Review, conducted by the U.S. Department of Energy on May 14, 2012. The DOE’s Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Program and Vehicle Technologies Program convene the Annual Merit Review and Peer Evaluation Meeting every year and present hydrogen, fuel cell, and advanced vehicle technology projects that are reviewed for their merit and funded by the Department of Energy’s Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Program and Vehicle Technologies Program. Dr. Yuzugullu is a Program Manager at the SRA Corporation, where she worked with the Department of Energy on hydrogen and fuel cell technological development. She teaches the EMSE 6260 Energy Management course, which is one of the required courses for the Environmental and Energy Masters degree. Mohammed Qaradaghi is an EEM doctoral student who is interested in evolving energy source technologies as they relate to the future economic development of Iraq.
