Christyl C. Johnson recently was appointed by the White House as the Executive Director of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC). The NSTC, a Cabinet-level council, is the principal means within the Executive Branch to coordinate science and technology policy across the diverse entities that make up the Federal research and development enterprise. Christyl previously was an Assistant Associate Administrator at NASA, where she managed earth science missions and conducted research in remote sensing. Chrystl graduated from GW with a Ph.D. degree in Environmental and Energy Management in 2011.
