Greenhouse Gas Management - The Graduate Certificate in Greenhouse Gas Management is designed to prepare students professionally to contribute to the coming low carbon future. The United Nations' Paris Agreement, was approved by 195 countries at the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference of Parties. The Paris Agreement calls for significant short- and long-term reductions of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The George Washington University has partnered with the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute, the preeminent organization in the world for GHG management training, to create this customized graduate program, a one-of-a-kind certificate not available anywhere else.
Environmental and Energy Systems Management (EESM) - The Environmental and Energy Systems Management (EESM) Environmental and Energy Systems Management (EESM) Certificate Program is designed to enable students to become proficient in implementing environmental and energy (E&E) management systems based on consensus standards, including the ISO 14000 and ISO 50000 series. The focus is on managing the E&E risks and opportunities of organizations through knowledge of the application of standards, the techniques for implementing them, and the processes for testing the conformity of resulting systems.
Energy Engineering and Management - A customized graduate Certificate Program from the Departments of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and Engineering Management and Systems Engineering.
Environmental Systems Management: This four course certificate program focuses on the full spectrum of subjects central to the practice of environmental management, including the policy, management, and high-level technical understanding underlying challenges in the environmental management area, and also the statutory and regulatory framework in which they are embedded, as well as social and policy considerations that are critically important in modern society.
Energy Systems Management: This four course certificate program focuses on the full spectrum of subjects central to the practice of energy management, including the policy, management and high-level technical understanding underlying challenges in the energy management area, and also the statutory and regulatory framework in which they are embedded, as well as social and policy considerations that are critically important in modern society.
